4. You don't need my permission to make prints out of any of the vintage photos I provide BUT if it's a photo I took personally, I'd like to be able to decide so just note me.

6. For use outside of DA, ONLY if you upload it here to your account on DA first. (This is for all the vintage photos only!) No need to ask me if you can if you follow this rule. I'm not hard to get along with
7. If you are using any of my other stock (such as actual pictures I took, psd files, etc., you still have to upload your work to DA first and then ask me if you can upload it to another site.
8. For rule number 6 and 7, once you upload it here on DA doesn't mean that you can delete it once you post your work on another site. Unless you're deleting that work from the other site as well, then you can remove it from DA. Any questions on this, just ask

Also I get asked alot where I get my vintage photos. Well I collected alot of them from various spots on the internet because they are public domain but that was many years ago mainly and I also buy alot (too many) from antique shops, flea markets, ebay, auctions near my house and even get some at garage sales. If I find any good links that provide vintage photos, I'll place it here, but most likely you'll end up finding them here too

First I want to thank everyone who participated, this was truly the best contest I've had, it was a huge success! All wonderful entries and like I have always told everyone who participates, that they're all winners in my book.

Now to let you know how I did the judging, I asked the judges to give me a rating from 1 to 10. 1 being eh/ok and 10 being super duper. (And no, the ratings stay secret!) Then, I added up each rating, and those with the highest are the winners of course. If there was a tie, I had my husband give 1 point to whatever entries that won the tie to his favorite one. There were two judges that participated and were not able to vote for themselves...so what I did here was to give each 1/2 of my rating that I gave them as so that they'd have the same equal amount of votes.

There was one entry by the same person that won 1st and 2nd, but since that wouldn't be fair, I gave the next highest entry 2nd place.

So that's how it was done. I think it was a very fair way.

But before I give you the winners, I would like again to personally thank my judges for their hard work. Most times in a contest that I have seen thrown on DA, alot of the judges don't even comment on the works. I tried to encourage each judge to comment on the work, so that you know that they truly looked at it. And it would be nice if you all could thank them as well because if it wasn't for their votes, you might not have placed. I noticed a few participants didn't respond to any comments, which upset me a bit. But next time I will make sure I put it in the rules that if you want to be in my contest and expect to win, you should be courteous and respond to the comments given and not just do this for the prizes. That's my opinion and my right when throwing a contest to have these rules.

So again, please take time to thank the judges for their hard work.

And I would also like to personally thank the prize donators as well. No one is forced to give prizes for these contests. What generous hearts they have, so please take the time to thank them as well even if you didn't win! Because I'm sure the prizes are a key factor in doing a contest for some (not all).
